This project was conceived by Artist Julie Myers to remember the children’s hospital that was being replaced by the Broadway Plaza regeneration. She worked with local primary school children who made paintings about their lives, self portraits, animals, and sea creatures. We then animated and produced them as 3D animated panels, using a technique I had developed previously to successfully join lenticular panels. As the viewer travels up or down the escalators the panels come to life as animated 3D children’s drawings.
